Torch Relay: Keep it Moving

The Torch made its way to Phoenix on Friday, November 1 for one of its 23 legs of Torch Relay. Torch Relay for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a unique multi-day event where walks and runs are hosted in a string of 23 cities across the United States. The Torch travels from event to event, marking the cross-country Relay’s progress.

Participants are welcomed to walk and run in their local race, displaying their support of the patients in their community.

Phoenix’s Relay was once again a success – 20 teams participated, raising nearly $25,000! The fall-festival themed event featured carnival games, a kids’ craft table, a face painter, balloon artist, caricaturist, the Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders and mascot, Big Red, the Torch Relay walk, and a post-walk dinner enjoyed by all.

Corporate sponsors included Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Visa, CDW, Enterprise, Alamo, and National.
