Chef Adler for the Day!

When Chef Frank Sanchez at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile met Adler, 8, earlier this year and learned of Adler’s passion for cooking, Chef Sanchez made Adler a chef for the day! Marriott staff made Adler a personalized chef coat and invited his family to come spend the weekend at the hotel and cook one of his favorite meals- crab cakes!

“The people here at the Marriott are so nice and accommodating. Their hospitality seems endless and they are 100% all about Adler, and making his and our time here special. We cannot say thank you enough,” says Adler’s mom!

Adler, who was diagnosed with inoperable pilomyxoid astrocytoma brain cancer, hydrocephalus and adreanal insufficiency and chronic pain, travels often to Lurie Children’s with his family for treatment.
