A Hero’s Home Away From Home

These last few weeks have been anything but routine for our healthcare heroes. They’re proud to take care of our young patients who depend on them for care for every imaginable and unimaginable illness and injury, including COVID-19. In addition to adding a little creativity to how they are caring for patients during these unprecedented times, many of our nurses and doctors are self-isolating and social distancing from their immediate family.

Doreen, Erica, and the team at the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Bangor, proud supporters of our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ program, are making this self-isolation a little easier. Our local TownePlace Suites is among the hotels across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America to offer a home away from home to essential healthcare workers and first responders during these unprecedented times. This gesture, at a special “Community Caregiver Rate,” is a huge comfort to essential healthcare workers and first responders who doing everything they can to make sure they don’t expose their families to the virus unnecessarily.
